About me
Before attending Baker College, Muskegon, Cindy worked in the banking industry. She has BA with degrees in speech and psychology and has taken masters’ classes in counseling. In 2009 when the banking industry took a turn, she moved into a new career and obtained her associates degree in occupational therapy as a COTA. She attended her first MIOTA conference on Mackinac Island in 2010 and quickly became involved volunteering on the conference planning committee in 2012. A couple of years later the Finance Director position became open mid-term. It was due to Cindy’s background in banking she was asked to fill the role and continues to fill the position today. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, she has traveled throughout MI working with the geriatric population at more than 30 SNFs, Assisted Living facilities as well as in Home Health settings. She has held positions with many companies but since graduation has consistently been employed by Concept Rehab Inc. In her spare time Cindy loves to sew, bake and visit lighthouses throughout MI.
